AirTrack IPA v3.0.3

Description:

The ultimate iPad/iPhone universal application that integrates with multiple data sources in order to report flight and navigation data wirelessly and in real time.

You will never be able to fly again without it. Designed to integrate with a flight simulator, with the aid of a plugin this application allows you to track your flights in real-time in the palm of your hand, as well as to remotely control them.

You no longer need to stay glued to the computer in order to know if you're still flying at 39,000 feet, if you're still heading to the right waypoint, how long you've got left or what the weather is going to be like at your destination airport; you can now relax and do it in the garden while you read the newspaper.

But if this isn't enough, AirTrack can also use your device's built-in GPS, Accelerometer and Gyro to determine your current movements and attitude and the Internet to download real weather to simulate an aircraft's sensors.

Turn your car trip into a flight experience by getting information about your instant position, heading and surrounding waypoints. See yourself in an EFIS style navigation display / primary flight display or plan your multi-leg trip with the built in route planner FMC which gives you real-time information about your waypoints, how far they are and how long it will take you to reach them.

With its built-in database of FIX, VOR, NDB and Airports, AirTrack can also be used as a flight companion allowing you to plan and monitor your trip, target a VOR or even perform a full IFR approach without ever needing to look at the screen.
The AirTrack features include:

- A full Primary Flight Display with speed, altitude, vertical speed, barometric pressure
- Also in the PFD, compass, AI with roll/pitch, auto-pilot status and settings.
- Instant GS, IAS, MACH, TAS and VS when available.

What's new in Version 3.0.3
Version 3.0.3 is just another small maintenance release correcting a few additional bugs that caused ocasional crashes.

Version 3.0.2 is just a small maintenance release fixing an issue with setting the altitude of FIXes and NDBs in flight plans, and fixing another issue concerning reversed attitude display when in landscape mode in the PFD with Device Location Services.

Version 3.0.1 is another small maintenance release fixing an issue that caused the application to crash when creating flight plans under certain conditions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Version 3.0 introduces cloud services, maps and charts amongst other things. The following is a list of some of the new features and improvements present in this version:

On the MFD and PFD:
#################

- A new GEO mode in the MFD now displays the world border and coast line contours as a background map. The whole world is included!

- VOR and APP modes on the MFD now have different sensitivities (15+15 degree and 2.5+2.5 degree cones respectively).

On the FMC:
##########

- Lookup of VORs, Airports and NDB's by name in addition to ID.

- A new direct-to button replaced the EXEC allowing one waypoint direct-to immediate selection.

New: Cloud Services:
################

With the signup of an Air Account users can now:

- Sync flight plans across multiple devices - Create a flight plan on one device and it will turn up on your other devices automatically.

- Sync saved waypoints across multiple devices and manage them online; create a new waypoint anywhere and that point will be sent up to the cloud and down to all your other devices automatically.

- A new cloud-based navigation data manager now allows you to upgrade and download new AIRAC cycles to all your devices seamlessly.

- Navigraph AIRAC cycles can now be redeemed online for all devices in one go.

Charts Viewer:
###########

A new cloud based Charts viewer allows you to download navigation charts and approach plates to your device for in-flight reading.

Note: This feature is EXPERIMENTAL; please don't ask for more charts, we're working on it.

Other new features:
###############

- A new GPS data screen is now available under settings displaying direct GPS readings.

- The localities database was updated to the one from geonames.org. New localities data is now available (such as its population) on the waypoints details viewer.

- And last but not least, we are proud to announce that AirTrack is now compatible and can be connected to the external AHRS-Mini product from Levil Aviation, allowing for a more accurate measurement of attitude, air speed and pressure altitude. Please see http://aviation.levil.com/AHRS_mini.htm for details.
